When the fun times are over and it’s time to pack away your Bestway® H2OGO!® Inflatable Water Slide for the day, for the week or even for the season, a little care and consideration will help ensure it stays in top condition.
Here are 10 simple steps to effectively clean and maintain your water slide, so your family can enjoy sunny play days for many summers to come!
Step 1: Once all children are out, turn off the garden hose and disconnect it from the water slide.
Step 2: Turn off the blower, unplug it from the outlet, and move it to a dry area to prevent it from getting wet as the slide drains.
Step 3: Open the drain valve to allow all water to exit the slide.
Step 4: After all water has drained, remove the stakes, then gently move the slide to a dry spot if you have the available space in your garden. Do this with two or more people - never drag your inflatable slide as you would be likely to cause a puncture.
Step 5: Re-stake the slide and blower in the new, dry location.
Step 6: Reconnect the blower and turn on the power to reinflate the slide.
Step 7: With the slide inflated, wipe down any dirt or debris with a damp cloth, especially around footholds and corners where grime may gather. For tougher spots, use a damp cloth with a neutral, non-flammable, non-toxic cleaning solution. Avoid any harsh chemicals that could damage the slide material.
Step 8: To prevent mould and mildew, leave the slide inflated until all water has evaporated. Once it’s dry, turn off the blower and unplug it. Wipe down the blower with a dry towel to ensure it’s moisture-free.
Step 9: Remove and drain the hose assembly from the water slide. Open the outlet tube and let the slide fully deflate. Then, wrap the hose without kinks.
Step 10: Fold up the water slide as compactly as possible and store it in the storage bag. When folding, it is important not to drag it across the floor.
