How Easy Is The Maldives HydroJet Pro To Set Up?

Very easy! The Maldives HydroJet Pro only takes around 10 minutes to set up and up to 1‑2 hours to fill with water depending on your water pressure. You inflate the Lay‑Z‑Spa using the pump and you don’t need any tools.

How Much Does The Maldives HydroJet Pro Cost To Run?

The cost of running a Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tub depends a lot on each individual user and how it is used as well as outside temperature, positioning and more.

Does The Maldives HydroJet Pro Have A Warranty & UK Support Team?

Our standard warranty is 12 months on the pump, cover, liner and inflatable lid. This warranty can be extended (by registering on our website) to 24 months. We have a free UK based support team who are fully trained to help Lay‑Z‑Spa owners.

Does The Lay‑Z‑Spa Maldives HydroJet Pro Plug Into A Normal UK Socket?

Yes, all Lay‑Z‑Spas are designed to plug into a standard UK 13amp/240V electrical supply. We advise that you always use an RCD protected socket (like those installed in your home) and not an extension lead. The hot tubs cable is 7 metres.

Does the Lay‑Z‑Spa Maldives HydroJet Pro come with a cover?

Yes, all Lay‑Z‑Spas come with a secure‑locking protective cover to prevent debris from entering the water and improve heat retention. All our hot tubs also include an inflatable lid which helps to maintain water temperature when the spa has been switched off and helps it heat faster.

Do You Need To Put Chemicals In The Water?

Yes, it is essential to use chemicals in your Lay‑Z‑Spa. We recommend ClearWater Chemicals which are designed with Lay‑Z‑Spas in mind. Read our Chemicals Guide for help with chemical maintenance.

Can You Put The Maldives HydroJet Pro Indoors?

How Long Does The Maldives HydroJet Pro Take For The Water To Heat Up When You First Fill It?

This can vary depending on the temperature of fresh water that goes into your spa and the ambient air temperature. On a typical summer’s day in the UK, it can take on average 6‑12 hours to heat the water to 40°C. Once the water is up to your desired temperature, the pump can be left on, efficiently heating the water.

Great so far, relaxing and enjoyable

I bought this few weeks ago and so far it’s been used almost everyday. The temperature is very hot although the temperature starts dropping by a degree when jets are on so it will go down fairly quickly during the cooler months. The hydro-jets aren’t as powerful but good enough to enjoy it but very loud, the bubbles aren’t as loud. It is very comfortable and relaxing and it fits 6 people comfortably with having space around you. The WiFi connection is no good, looses connection but the touch panel control is easily accessible when in the tub. The instructions are rubbish and very basic. Overall a great buy and it’s been definitely an enjoyable and relaxing experience so far. Also be prepared that it can take up to 6-7 days if you have harsh water in your area as the chemicals will take time to balance, so don’t expect to be using it on day one.

What a great spa, not sure where to start !!!!! positives first - we love having the seats/ beds the thermal cover is worth every penny- having the the choice of hydro or normal jets or both is great- i logged onto my app on the way home and turned the hot tub up a little for when i got home (nice touch) it would have been fantastic if we had music(add to next model) but i have a speaker so no harm negatives we have lights when you put Hydro jet is on fantastic!! but when you put them on it turns the heater off so if its a late night the temp drops very quickly , but if you use normal jets you can still heat the water but no lights!! its a shame you cant use the hydro more than 10 mins as temp will easy drop 3-4 degrees in that time hopefully in the summer when its warmer at night it wont be so bad

Very Pleased

Not wanting to spend thousands on a hot tub and after reading reviews on Lay-z-Spa we purchased the Maldives HydroJet Pro and the thermal cover. We are very pleased with this product, it was easy to set up and is easy to use. The thermal cover really does keep the heat in and we have been using it nearly everyday, weather permitting. The jets DO massage you and the seats are comfortable. We are very pleased with our purchase.

We love our Maldive

This is our second Lay Z spa hot tub and we absolutely love it, we upgraded from the Palma which was a fantastic tub but the new Maldive is definitely more economical to run and has 10 hydro jets and greater control over the settings and with the addition of the WiFi app you can control everything from wherever you are

Outstanding!

We had an original standard lay z spa for 10 years, decided it was time for an upgrade. The Maldives is a totally different league! Incredibly comfortable and jets in exactly the right places. The built in beds are total luxury.

Great product, have really enjoyed it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it so far. Quick to heat up, the beds and seat are comfortable. The jets give a good massage. When putting the lid back the clips are a bit fiddly. Hard to remove the jets the substitute for the lights, but worth it, the lights are really lovely. No regrets so far. We are both sleeping better and my husband says aches and pains are reduced so absolutely worth it on that basis alone.
