Bestway was pleased to be involved in the SUPER festival on the English Riviera in South Devon by providing some Hydro Force® paddle boards for the event.
Hosted by Brendan Prince, a world record ocean SUP adventurer ( and the first & only person to circumnavigate the entire UK coastline by SUP), SUPER Festival is a multi-event SUP competition that welcomes beginners through to elite paddlers!
Originally started in 2024 as SUPerchamps, it was a major milestone for stand-up paddleboarding in the UK as the first-ever Stand Up Paddle English Riviera Championships. This event, the first of its kind, includes multiple SUP races, SUPpolo tournament, watersports expo and forms part of an ambitious plan to elevate SUP competition in the UK to international levels.
Although Hydro Force paddle boards were visible throughout the whole event, like the SUP polo, our involvement was especially for the One Design events that test all competitors on identical boards. The idea is to judge purely on paddling skill and give newcomers and seasoned racers alike a fair shot at the podium.
