Clearwater 4-In-1 Pool & Spa Test Strips (50 Test Strips)

What do these Clearwater hot tub & pool test strips measure?

These 4-way water test strips measure chlorine, bromine, pH, total alkalinity levels, helping you maintain balanced water in swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas.

Can these test strips be used in a hot tub or Lay-Z-Spa?

Yes, these Clearwater test strips are suitable for hot tubs, Lay-Z-Spas, inflatable spas, and swimming pools, making it easy to monitor water quality and chemical levels.

Can these test strips be used in above-ground or built-in swimming pools?

Yes, these Clearwater test strips are suitable for both above-ground and in-ground swimming pools, as well as hot tubs, Lay-Z-Spa inflatable spas, and paddling pools. They make it easy to quickly check and maintain proper water quality and chemical levels for safe, clean swimming water.

Clearwater Test Strips - Quick Start Guide:

1. Carefully remove one test strip from the container making sure none of the others get wet
2. Dip the test strip into the water for a couple of seconds, then remove it
3. Hold the test strip level for 15 seconds and do not shake it
4. Place the test strip against the colour scale on the container to compare levels

View the colour scale here.

The pool & hot tub test strips highlight, chlorine & bromine levels, the water's pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level.

Hot Tubs:

Chlorine levels of a hot tub should be 3‑5 ppm (Parts Per Million), Bromine levels should be 6-10 ppm, pH levels should be 7.2 ‑ 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 ‑ 120 ppm.

Pools:

Chlorine levels of a pool should be 1-3 ppm (Parts Per Million), Bromine levels should be 2-6 ppm, pH levels should be 7.2 ‑ 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 ‑ 120 ppm.

Using the testing strips to check water balance enables you to identify what chemicals need to be added to bring them within the correct parameters. Untested water can become a breeding ground for bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and irritate skin.

How often should I test my spa or pool water?

For best results, test swimming pool and hot tub water at least 2–3 times per week and always after heavy use, rainfall, or adding treatment chemicals.

Why is it important to test chlorine, bromine and pH levels?

Maintaining the correct chlorine and pH levels helps keep water clean, clear, and comfortable while supporting the effectiveness of your pool or spa sanitiser.
