How to assemble a Bestway Hydrium pool

setting up a bestway hydrium pool

Hydrium™ pools are semi-permanent all-season pools that you don't have to take down if you don't want to. Their durable structure and construction is designed to stay in your garden all year round, without the need to disassemble it each winter. Now, here are some tips to getting your Bestway Hydrium pool set up!

Step 1: Get the ground ready for your Hydrium pool

Before you get started, make sure the area you've chosen is large enough to fit your pool. The full dimensions, including the pool structure, are detailed on the packaging.

Ideal surfaces include: Grass, soil, concrete or any surface that meets the guidelines in the instruction manual. Avoid surfaces such as: soil, sand, gravel, wooden platforms or any surface not mentioned in the manual.

It’s crucial that the ground is flat and level. Avoid sloped or uneven areas as they could damage the pool’s structure.

Step 2: Assemble your Hydrium Pool

To assemble your Hydrium pool, you’ll need a few extra tools and equipment that are not included in the box.

Here are the steps to correctly assemble your Hydrium pool:

  1. Lay down the protective mat on your chosen surface.
  2. Assemble the lower guides.
  3. Place the steel wall into the lower guide until both ends meet.
  4. Secure the ends by inserting screws and tightening them properly.
  5. Cover the screws on the inside using the special tape included in the kit. Protect the plastic locking system with the provided cover.
  6. Unfold the liner and position it on top of the steel wall, temporarily securing it with clips.
  7. Smooth out the bottom of the liner to remove any creases.
  8. Insert the upper guide over the steel wall to lock the liner in place.
  9. Position the vertical supports and attach the plastic locking system, securing them with screws.
  10. Fit the horizontal supports and secure them with the appropriate screws.
  11. Install the plastic covers and secure them with screws.

Step 3: Completing your Hydrium pool setup

  1. Fill the pool with water until the water level reaches about 6cm below the top of the steel wall. This helps to fully lay out the liner before moving on to the next step.
  2. Cut the liner at the location of the connection valve with a cutting tool, and then secure the valve to the structure.
  3. Install the skimmer and carefully cut the liner to fit the skimmer.
  4. Once the skimmer is in place, you can fill the pool to the correct level
